SpaceX successfully launched and landed its Starship. This launch was the first successful flight of Starship by SpaceX. For this successful flight, Elon Musk aims for a long time.
This fruitful flight will prove a pioneering step to land the astronauts and other people on the moon and Mars. Before this starship flight, four starship flights ended with an explosion before touching down at the southeastern tip of Texas. This Starship was the upgrade version of SpaceX’s full-scale, stainless steel, bullet-shaped rocket ship that takes a flight of more than 6 miles over the Gulf of Mexico before its horizontal landing.
The launch commentator John Insprucker confirmed in a live video that Starship has successfully landed.
The fire was quickly quenched at the base of the 160-foot rocket. And after its landing, the rocket stayed in a standing position. Elon Musk promptly tweeted that the landing was nominal.
This successful flight was achieved on the 60th anniversary of the flight of the first American in space, Alan Shepard. These two weeks are awarded as spectacular two weeks of achievements for SpaceX. As in two weeks, SpaceX launched four more astronauts: the Crew-2 to the international space station for NASA, the first night time Splashdown of astronauts, and the successful launching of its mini internet satellites.
About a month ago, NASA selected SpaceX for the lunar lander project; this project was to bring astronauts and other people to the moon. But last, this project of about $3 billion was paused because Jeff Bezos’s company Blue Origin and Dynetics filed a protest against SpaceX.
Last month Musk said that the investment from NASA would be helpful in the development of Starship. Musk claimed that this was quite an expensive project so far, and it mainly was internally funded.
Elon Musk said to the reporters after the second crew flight on the 23rd of April that if you have been watching the videos, you can tell that we have blown up some of them. So, in one way or another, the excitement is confirmed.
