Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Europa League victory can be ‘catalyst’ for more silverware

In the Europa League, Manchester United qualified the semi-finals after Edinson Cavani’s primary attack. A Jesus Vallejo’s own goal held a 2-0 home win over Granada, confirming a 4-0 aggregate win.

Manager of Manchester United Solskjaer says his players are enjoying the chance to finish the season by winning a cup. After cruising past Granada to reach the Europa League’s semi-finals.

As Manchester United qualified for the Europe league semi-final. The boss Ole Gunnar is looking to wrap up the season on a high.

Last week Marcus Rashford’s attack and a late Bruno Fernandes penalty in Granada put the Red Devils in control of their quarter-final tie in contradiction of the European debs.

On Thursday, the United followed that up with another 2-0 win. When Edinson Cavani’s early volley and a late Jesus Vallejo’s goal sealed a 4-0 aggregate triumph. And the club’s 18th continental semi-final.

Roma’s position is between Solskjaer’s side and the Gdansk finale. A tie that reminds United’s extraordinary 8-3 aggregate triumph against the Italian team in the 2007 Champions League quarter-finals.

Solskjaer was involved in both leagues, and the present Roam team contains Henrikh Mkhitaryan. And Chris Smalling – starters when United earned the victory in the Europa League in 2017.

 The United manager said,

“We vanished the away game, but the odd thing was the supervisor. Sir Alex Ferguson was so glad after that defeat. I’ve never seen him that happy after losing a game, having provided support in the 2-1 away loss. Before getting on in the 7-1 Old Trafford victory.”

“He was so assured we were going to win the home game; it was a strange experience. We need to make the most of it. We’ve got an opportunity to go to a final today; well done! Disciplined job, professional and not really under too much pressure.”
